Two more companies join the Alliance to enhance combined solution offering for healthcare providers

Following the launch of the One Health Alliance earlier this year, two further companies have joined to enhance the solution portfolio offered by the Alliance. They include Sunquest Information Systems and BridgeHead Software. These new members have been specifically selected to further enable the Alliance to deliver an umbrella of services and solutions to match all the technology needs demanded by today’s global healthcare providers.

Dr John Ironmonger, One Health Alliance Chairman, explains: “The recruitment of these new members supports the Alliance’s ambition to continue to find ways for healthcare IT vendor companies to work together collaboratively for the benefit of healthcare organisations. By bringing on board the technologies and experience of Sunquest and BridgeHead Software, this has helped to fill the gaps in our portfolio so that the Alliance can offer customers a ‘one-stop-shop total healthcare solution’.”

Sunquest and BridgeHead Software products and services cover two critical areas within the overall delivery of healthcare. Sunquest is a provider of laboratory and diagnostic information solutions whilst BridgeHead delivers Healthcare Data Management (HDM) solutions.

Commenting, David Allcock, Vice President Sunquest, stated: “With more than 1,400 hospitals and commercial laboratories across the US and EMEA utilising our software and services, Sunquest has the credentials to enhance and support the objectives of the Alliance. Plus having already established relationships with existing members we can contribute towards the collaborative approach of providing a single point of advice for healthcare organisations taking away the risk and challenge of dealing with multiple suppliers.”

Also commenting, Charles Mallio, Vice President Business Development & Corporate Marketing, BridgeHead Software, added: “Joining the Alliance complements BridgeHead’s partner centric approach to delivering solutions. Being storage and vendor agnostic this means we can integrate with the other members healthcare systems enabling customers to manage and control their data storage and archiving requirements. Our aim is to enhance the powerful set of solutions that the Alliance delivers to help healthcare providers address the challenges they face.”

In operation for over eight months now, the One Health Alliance continues to target healthcare clients in Europe, Middle East and African markets (EMEA). And with opportunities opening up within these markets, particularly the UK, the Alliance believes its proposition will be attractive to clients who are looking to ease the complexities of commissioning IT systems and having to deal with a number of different suppliers.

Dr John Ironmonger adds: “Expanding our membership is proof that the Alliance can and will continue to work together. Our partnerships are now stronger and with Sunquest and BridgeHead Software as part of the team, the breadth and depth of experience we offer as a group is unmatched. For the healthcare provider the benefits are clear – we deliver a single set of connected solutions that will help to provide improvements around financial, operational and clinical efficiency, supporting reform and achieving targets.”
